A two-day capacity-building workshop was organized for Facilitators of the Foundation for Inclusive Education and Development (FIED) in the North West and South West (NWSW) regions of Cameroon. This initiative was part of the Accelerated Education Program (AEP) supported by UNICEF in partnership with the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO).
Objectives of the Workshop
The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of FIED facilitators to deliver effective education services, particularly in emergency contexts. The specific objectives were:
- To strengthen facilitators’ understanding of the AEP and its implementation guidelines.
- To enhance facilitators’ skills in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
- To promote facilitators’ use of inclusive and child-centered teaching methods.
- To foster collaboration and networking among facilitators.
