FIED: Foundation for Inclusive Education

The Foundation for Inclusive Education (FIED) is a small but impactful NGO based in Cameroon that champions inclusive education, peace, and social justice.

Led by Executive Director Nkegoah Ebenezer, it works to ensure that children, especially from vulnerable or marginalized backgrounds, have equitable access to quality schooling, especially those with disabilities.

In addition to education, the foundation supports related areas including water, sanitation, hygiene, and IT assistance, often in collaboration with community partners

At FIED, we envision a world where every child regardless of ability, background, or circumstance has equal access to quality education and the opportunity to thrive in a just, inclusive, and peaceful society. Through collaboration, compassion, and community engagement, we strive to build a future where no one is left behind.

Our Core Pillars

Inclusive Education & Child Empowerment

FIED champions access to quality, inclusive education for all children, especially those with disabilities, orphans, and vulnerable children. This pillar covers:

  • Basic education access and retention
  • Scholarships and school kits
  • Special education support and assistive technologies
  • Rights-based advocacy for inclusive schooling


Goal:
Ensure no child is left behind, regardless of ability or background.

Recognizing the connection between learning and living conditions, FIED supports community well-being through:

  • Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) education and services
  • School hygiene clubs and menstrual health support
  • Health screenings and disability awareness
  • Nutrition and psychosocial support programs


Goal:
Create safe, healthy environments where children can grow and learn.

FIED promotes a peaceful and just society by building community resilience and fostering inclusion through:

  • Peace education and conflict resolution activities
  • Empowerment of marginalized groups (including persons with disabilities and IDPs)
  • Civic engagement, rights awareness, and leadership training
  • Youth resilience and digital empowerment programs
