Peacebuilding & Social Justice Education

Peacebuilding & Social Justice Education

The Foundation for Inclusive Education (FIED) recognizes that sustainable development cannot be achieved without peace, justice, and active citizenship. Through its peacebuilding and social justice education initiatives, the organization engages children and communities in understanding the values of tolerance, respect, and coexistence. In regions where social tensions or inequalities may exist, FIED promotes dialogue and learning spaces that help young people develop empathy, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution skills. By nurturing these values early, the foundation contributes to building a generation that is more aware, responsible, and committed to peaceful living.

A central aspect of this work is rights awareness and civic education. FIED equips children and community members with knowledge about their rights and responsibilities, empowering them to participate meaningfully in society. This includes teaching concepts such as equality, inclusion, and justice, as well as encouraging individuals to stand against discrimination and social exclusion. Through workshops, school programs, and community discussions, participants gain the confidence and tools needed to advocate for themselves and others, fostering a culture of accountability and mutual respect.

In addition, FIED promotes civic action as a way to translate knowledge into real-world impact. The organization supports initiatives where young people and community members actively contribute to solving local challenges, whether through peer education, community service, or advocacy campaigns. By involving communities in identifying and addressing the root causes of conflict and inequality, FIED strengthens social cohesion and resilience. These efforts not only prevent conflicts but also create inclusive environments where diversity is valued and every individual has a voice in shaping their future.
